Glasses for Maria & 7 More Homes in Osa, Peninsula
In early June 2011, Steve Layne and Mitch Zychowski traveled to San Jose.
While there, they implemented FMSA’s newest project, Glasses for Maria. Through
this program, nearly 200 children in San Miguel will receive eye exams from a licensed
optometrist, and glasses will be provided for those who need them. All the costs for these
exams and glasses will be paid by FMSA.
After that, Steve and Mitch boarded a plane to the Osa Peninsula to assist volunteers from
Un techo para mi Pais who erected seven prefabricated homes. These basic homes were
then presented to seven otherwise homeless families.
