FMSA & The Creek in San Miguel
Thanks to the generosity of Peters Creek Presbyterian Church of Venetia, Pennsylvania, Templo Cristiano La Hermosa received some maintenance, repairs, updates and
encouragement. In May “The Creek” sent a mission team to accompany FMSA
representatives to help this San Miguel Church help others. Working tirelessly and
joyfully this group of Christian servants gave the church a fresh coat of paint, laid 160 feet of drain pipe, installed working ceiling fans, and touched the lives of the local
community. During that time, a fresh supply of groceries was purchased, delivered and
stored at the church, so that they could continue to feed the needy neighboring children.
Thanks to the donation by Peters Creek of a brand new freezer, the church was well
stocked with meat as well as rice, beans, oil and other staples.
The work was done in 2 days making Sunday a day of rest and celebration. The group split up to attend worship services at different churches. Afterward, Peters Creek and FMSA sponsored a party at Templo Cristiano La Hermosa for the children from three congregations. The kids (and adults) enjoyed games, crafts, pizza and pop. Padre Miguel and some of the teens and young adults played an energetic game of soccer.
Again, we want to thank Peters Creek Presbyterian church for all their prayers, support and effort. They shared the love of Christ with their Christian brothers and sisters in Costa Rica, so that they can share it with others. It’s because of people like them that FMSA is able to do what we do.
