November 2014, FMSA Begins Building Another Kitchen
In November 2014, FMSA began building another kitchen. Thanks to the time and hard work of regular and first-time volunteers from the US and Costa Rica, construction is well underway. This facility, which will be completed early in 2015, will serve as an outreach for FMSA and a partnering church, Comunidad Cristiana Luz y Esperanza. FMSA has been working with Luz y Esperanza providing lunches for the needy children who attend their Christian school. With the completion of the new kitchen, we will have an opportunity to help the church move out into the surrounding slum community of Torremolinos. This is one of the poorest and most dangerous areas in the vicinity of San Jose. By offering free lunches to the children who live there, the church will have the opportunity to demonstrate the love of Christ and share the Gospel with them and their parents. We hope you will take time to look at photos of the Torremolinos community and the construction of the kitchen.
